“During my year of furlough, I have found everywhere my greatest interest in the progress of the gospel in Korea, and particularly a desire to know and understand the facts concerning the revival of 1907. To meet the desire, I have put into writing my own recollections of the revival. At first I planned to write only of that great outpouring of God’s Spirit, but the events connected with that time were so dramatic and unusual that I feared they might be misunderstood without some account of the previous history of the church from its beginning and some of my own experiences with the Korean Christians during the eight happy years I have lived and worked among them.” William Newton Blair, 1910

She reminded him of the words of martyr Choo’s wife to her husband, ‘If you bow before the shrine, you are not my husband,’ then added, ‘moreover your soul will be lost.’ On page 178
May its story be an encouragement to all those who are working in the building of his kingdom, and may this account cause God’s people everywhere to be in prayer for one another, especially for those who are going through time of testing. On Page 195 by Bruce Finly Hunt
